Field Hockey's Peterson, Sharkin Selected To Play in NFHCA Senior Game
WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College field hockey seniors Courtney Peterson (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Nikki Sharkin (Summit, N.J.) have been selected to play in the 2016 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game. The game will take place on Saturday, November 19, at 4:00 PM at William Smith College. In all, 60 student-athletes, including the Wellesley duo, were selected to participate in the game, while 12 were picked as alternates.
Peterson, a 2015 NEWMAC first team and NFHCA all-region selection, registered 45 goals and 28 assists over 82 career games, starting all but one game in her collegiate career. Sharkin has been a three-year starter for the Blue, appearing in 81 career games, scoring 37 goals and registering 29 career assists. The duo led the Blue in scoring this season, with Peterson scoring a team-high nine goals and five assists and Sharkin tallying eight goals and three assists.
