Field Hockey Earns 10th Consecutive NFHCA Academic Team Honor

GILBERT, Ariz. -- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has announced the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Awards for the 2019 season. For the tenth consecutive year, Wellesley College field hockey has earned Academic Team honors.

The National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year. This year, 147 programs were named National Academic Teams.

The Division III Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Squad, recognizing student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the academic year, will be announced on March 12. Recognition for the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Scholars of Distinction and the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Scholar-Athlete will be announced on on March 25 and April 2, respectively.
