WESTWOOD, Mass. - The NEWMAC released the 2023 Field Hockey Academic All-Conference Team on Friday. Among the honorees were nine members of Wellesley College field hockey.

Selections must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2023 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Seniors Jocelyn Andrews (Malvern, Penn.), Kyra Deehr-Lewis (Newtown, Penn.), Alex Lenart (Princeton Junction, N.J.), and Cassidy Novello (Scotch Plains, N.J.) all earned the honor for the third consecutive year, while classmate River Schiff (Potomac, Md.) made a first NEWMAC Academic All-Conference appearance. Juniors Camille Newman (Manhattan, N.Y.) and Eleanor Wenners (Rye, N.H.) received a second straight honor, while classmate Sara Maniscalco (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) was recognized for the first time. Sophomore Ceci Miller (Lewiston, Maine) also made the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team for the first time.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) consists of 12 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Salve Regina University, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
