Newman Picks Up NFHCA All-Region Second Team Accolade

GENEVA, N.Y. -- On Wednesday, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced the 2023 NFHCA Division III All-Region Teams. Wellesley College junior Camille Newman (New York, N.Y.) was named to the Region I Second Team.

Newman helped lead the Blue offensively and defensively, including a team-leading four assists. Newman guided the Blue to the NEWMAC Field Hockey Championship Quarterfinals and received NEWMAC All-Conference First Team honors.

This year over 190 Division III student-athletes were named to NFHCA Division III All-Region teams sponsored by The LineUp. Division III teams are separated into six regions: Region I, Region II, Region III, Region IV, Region V, and Region VI. Each of these regions recognizes up to 16 student-athletes on both the first team and the second team.

The mission of the association is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game.
