Wicker Collects NEWMAC Softball Pitcher of the Week Award

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Wellesley College softball first year Sarah Wicker (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) has been named the NEWMAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 24, 2024.

Wicker earned a pair of wins while throwing 15 innings for the Blue last week in Clermont, Fla. Wicker allowed a single earned run with a 0.46 ERA in three appearances and struck out 14 hitters. Wicker's performances were crucial in Wellesley's wins over William Paterson and Millikin. 

Up next, Wellesley heads to Nichols for a non-conference 3 & 5 PM doubleheader on Tuesday, March 26.
