Bio

Kara Wong joined the Wellesley coaching staff in 2013 as an assistant coach, returning to her alma mater after a standout four year playing career for the Blue.

Wong was a member of Wellesley's first NEWMAC Championship team in 2007, just two years after the inception of the program. A four-year starter at catcher for the Blue, Wong was the program's first four-time All-NEWMAC honoree. She also earned All-New England honors three times in her career, and led the Blue to the NCAA tournament twice.

At the time of her graduation, Wong had the highest career batting average in program history (.336), which still ranks in the top-four all-time for Wellesley. She also held records for hits (151), runs scored (86), doubles (41), runs batted in (87), and games started (142). Wong's career numbers all still rank in the top-five in Blue history, while her 41 doubles and 142 games started still stand as program best marks.
