Blue Basketball Set for NEWMAC Tournament

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Wellesley College basketball team is set for the upcoming NEWMAC Women's Basketball Tournament, beginning with the quarterfinal round on Wednesday, February 23rd.

With a regular season record of 9-9 in the NEWMAC (12-12 overall), the Blue earned the #5 seed and will take on #4 Springfield on the road on Wednesday at 7:00pm.

Wellesley will look to avenge two tight early season losses to the Pride.  Springfield took the first match-up 61-48, and then came away with a 61-54 overtime victory against the Blue in their last meeting.
