Basketball's Leong Selected to Play in NEWBA Senior Game

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College senior basketball player Leslie Leong has been selected to play in the 2014 New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Classic. 

The game will be played on March 29th at 1:00pm at Smith College's Ainsworth Gym. A total of 22 seniors from around the region were selected to play in the event. Leong is one of two NEWMAC participants, as she joins Smith's Rosa Drummond with an invitation. 

Leong, the 2014 NEWMAC Player of the Year, led the Blue to a 16-10 record this season. Wellesley reached the quarterfinals of both the NEWMAC and ECAC Tournaments to close out the year.

Leong ended her Wellesley career with 1,092 points, 698 rebounds, 215 assists, and 157 steals, ranking in the top-10 in program history in each category.
