Blue Basketball to Play 4Kay, Host Student-Athlete Appreciation Day on Feb. 17

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College basketball will take part in the annual Play 4Kay national initiative to raise awareness and funds for women's cancer research when the Blue host Smith College at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 17 at Gracia Mangano Martore '73 Court.

This year the event will take place alongside Wellesley's annual Student-Athlete Appreciation Day, as donations to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund will be accepted as part of a raffle that will give students in attendance a chance to win Wellesley gear, Senate Bus tokens and gift cards. 

The evening will also include a halftime ceremony recognizing Wellesley's Seven Sisters and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Champions and NCAA championship participants from the past year, as well 2015 NCAA Division III 3-Meter Diving National Champion Maura Sticco-Ivins.

Fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink and students are also invited to enjoy FREE Ben & Jerry's ice cream at halftime of the game!
