WESTWOOD, Mass. – The NEWMAC announced the Women's Basketball 25 Year All-NEWMAC Team in recognition of the historic 25th Anniversary season. A total of 17 student-athletes have been recognized from the last 25 years, including former Wellesley College basketball student-athlete Amy Barao Kullar '01. The honored team was voted on by the NEWMAC membership.

A 2000-01 Kodak National All-American, Barao is one of two basketball student-athletes in Wellesley history to earn All-American honors. Barao, who was inducted into the Wellesley Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022 along with her sister and teammate Meg, ranks third all-time in Wellesley history with 1,246 points scored following a career where she twice earned NEWMAC All-Conference honors (1998-1999 and 1999-2000) and was a two-time Seven Sisters All-Tournament selection (1999-2000 and 2000-2001). Barao was named a New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) All-Star as well as a senior game selection along with her sister Meg following their senior season in 2000-01. Barao graduated as Wellesley's all-time leading 3-point shooter and played professionally for three years in Denmark.

The NEWMAC 25-Year All-NEWMAC Teams are a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the NEWMAC athletic conference. The NEWMAC was formed in 1998, when the former New England Women's 8 Conference (NEW 8) voted to begin sponsoring conference play and championships for men.
