Wellesley Crew Competes Sunday at 55th Head Of The Charles Regatta

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College crew will compete at the 55th Head Of The Charles Regatta (HOCR) on Sunday, October 20, on the Charles River in Boston.

Founded in 1965, the HOCR is a two-day rowing event featuring many of the top rowers, teams and clubs from around the world. This year's event will take place Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20, 2019. Wellesley will compete in the Women's Collegiate Eights and Women's Collegiate Fours on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM.

The Blue have two entries in the Women's Collegiate 8+ event for the fifth consecutive year. Wellesley's Varsity Eight Crew, or Wellesley A, will compete with bow number 10, while Wellesley's Second Varsity Eight, or Wellesley B, will compete with bow number 15. Last year, Wellesley finished 10th and 27th overall. The Blue have had a crew in the top-ten of the Women's Collegiate Eights in eight of the last nine years.
