Blue Crew Begins Spring at St. Mary's of Maryland

ST. MARY's CITY, Md. - Wellesley College crew opened their spring season with winning performances in the 2V8 and 3V8 races against St. Mary's College of Maryland, before the event was cut short due to bad weather on Friday evening at the James P. Muldoon River Center on the Teddy Turner Waterfront.

Wellesley's 2V8 had a time of 6:56.7, followed closely by 3V8 squad with a time of 7:08.0, nearly 35 seconds ahead of the St. Mary's boat.

Unfortunately prior to the V8 and 4V8 races the weather took a turn for the worse and the event had to be called off.

The Blue will return with a race on the Charles River against Williams on Saturday, April 8 while the Seahawks host William Smith on April 15.
