Blue Crew Wins Big on Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond

WORCESTER, Mass. - The V8+, 2V8+ and V4+ placed first for Wellesley College crew on Sunday morning at Lake Quinsigamond.

Blue Crew's V8+ had the fastest time of the day en route to a victory in the grand finale. After an impressive 6:48.2 to finish first in the opening heat, the Blue managed to outdo themselves in the grand finale with a 6:48.1, four seconds ahead of second place bates.

Wellesley's 2V8+ earned first place on Sunday. After winning their opening heat with a time of 7:06, the 2V8+ shaved nearly ten seconds off of their time in grand finale, lead the pack with a 6:56.7, 1.7 seconds ahead of second place Hamilton. 

In the fours race Blue Crew took the top two spots with the V4+ winning with an 8:07.5, and the 2V4+ grabbing second with an 8:16.9.

The 3V8+ took second out of six in their race, defeating Hamilton, WPI, Trinity, and Clark with a time of 7:07.9, only trailing Bates.

Next Saturday the Blue will travel to New York to race at the Skidmore Sprints in Saratoga Springs.
