WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Recent Wellesley College crew graduate Anneka Hallstrom (Ann Arbor, Mich.) has been named the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Division III Athlete of the Year. This is the second time a member of Blue Crew has earned the award after Katie Ball '22 won the inaugural award in 2022.

The CRCA Division III Athlete of the Year award is the latest in a long list of accolades for Hallstrom, including making the 2023 CRCA/Pocock All-America First Team, being the 2023 NEWMAC Rower of the Year, earning a spot on the 2023 NEWMAC All-Conference First Team, and being a part of three NEWMAC Boats of the Week. Hallstrom has also been named a CRCA Scholar-Athlete twice, a NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team member on three occasions, and has made two National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) All-Academic Teams.

Hallstrom rowed in the Varsity Eight for a Wellesley crew team that won NCAA Division III Championships in 2022 and 2023, the 2022 and 2023 NEWMAC Championships, the 2023 National Invitational Rowing Championship, and placed second at the 2022 Head Of The Charles.
