Wellesley Fencing Releases 2019-20 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College fencing and interim Head Coach Rob Charlton have announced the team's 2019-20 schedule.

The Blue will open the season on Sunday, October 27, at the LIU Post Invitational in Brookville, N.Y. That date will be the first of eight on the team's schedule during the 2019-20 campaign. 

Wellesley will head to the Vassar Invitational (Nov. 10) before the first Northeast Fencing Conference Meet of the season takes place on Sunday, November 17, at Brown University. Trips to the Brandeis Invitational (Dec. 1) and a midweek match-up with Harvard (Dec. 5) will take place before the Blue break for the semester. The team returns to action on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the third Northeast Conference Meet at Tufts University. 

A pair of Championship meets close out the regular season, as the Blue will look to defend the team's NEIFC three-weapon team championship at the NEIFC Championships on Saturday, February 22, at Vassar College. Qualified fencers will then focus on the NCAA Northeast Regional on Saturday, March 7, at Cornell University. The NCAA Fencing Championships will take place March 19-22, 2020 at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Mich.
