Wellesley Competes at the Vassar College Invitational

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Williams College leads at the Vassar College Invitational with a day-one score of 306.  The two-day tournament is being held at Casperkill Golf Club, a par-72 course located in Poughkeepsie, NY.  Winds of 15-20 MPH made the 5,852 yard course play even longer. 

Williams was followed by New York University and Middlebury with scores of 320 and 333, respectively.  Wellesley finished day one in 11th place and was paced by junior Lei Wei, who shot a 90.  Williams senior Shelby Shote sits atop the leader board with a score of 73.

The tournament continues tomorrow morning with the second and final round beginning with a shotgun start at 9:00am.
