Sun Receives Liberty League Women's Golf Rookie of the Week Honors
TROY, N.Y. -- Wellesley College golf first year Grace Sun (San Diego, Calif.) has been named the Liberty League Women's Golf Rookie of the Week for the week of September 11.
Sun helped lead the Blue to a first place finish this past weekend at the Polar Bear Shootout at the Par-73, 5,702 yard Brunswick Golf Club. Sun hit six birdies across 36 holes and won the individual competition by shooting only four strokes over par with a score of 150 (74-76) in her first collegiate competition.
Wellesley competes at the George Phinney Classic hosted by Middlebury at the Ralph Myhre Golf Club this weekend.
