Blue Golf Seventh After Day One of Wesleyan Invitational

MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. – Wellesley College golf tied for seventh with a team score of 346 after day one of the Wesleyan Invitational at Lyman Orchards' Par-72, 5812 Yards Robert Trent Jones Course.

Middlebury leads the team competition with a score of 313. Bowdoin sits in second place with a score of 319 and Hamilton is in third with a score of 335. Middlebury junior Audrey Tir (Winnetka, Ill.) leads all individuals after carding a 75 (+3).

Sophomore Ashley Cong (Troy, Mich.) led the Blue with an 83 to tie for 13th. First year Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) shot an 85 to tie for 21st.

Rounding out Wellesley was junior Norah Catlin (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) (87), senior Marilyn Fang (Beijing, China) (91), and sophomore Lucia Chen (Horseheads, N.Y.) (100).

First year Maria Li (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) carded an 87 playing as an individual.

Round two of the Wesleyan Invitational begins at 10:30 AM tomorrow.
