WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College lacrosse senior Dacia Persky (Las Vegas, Nev.) has been named the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 17, 2019.

Persky, a senior attacker, scored 17 goals in two games to help the Blue to a 1-1 record last week. Persky netted seven goals and added an assist in a 17-13 non-conference setback to Wentworth on Wednesday. She then set a career-high in goals and points during Wellesley's 22-7 victory over Mt. St. Mary (N.Y.) on Saturday, scoring ten goals and adding two assists. At the time, Persky's ten-goal game is tied for the NCAA statistical lead for goals in a game during the 2019 season. She currently ranks second in Division III, scoring 6.50 goals per game.

Wellesley (2-2) will travel to UMass Darmouth tomorrow evening, Tuesday, March 19, for a non-conference tilt at 6:30 PM.
