Wellesley Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches 2016-17 Team Academic Award

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) announced on Thursday the Team Academic Award Winners at the high school and college levels to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year. A total of 813 collegiate teams (282 men, 531 women) earned the Team Academic Award, including the Wellesley College soccer team. 

The Blue earned the honor with a cumulative GPA of 3.35. United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full school year. To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
