Goydan Earns All-America Honors on 1-Meter Board

SHENANDOAH, Tex. -- Wellesley College diver Hayley Goydan earned All-America honors today on the 1-meter board at the 2013 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The event is being hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference at the Woodforest Natatorium.

Goydan finished 11th place overall with a score of 403.70. She was the top NEWMAC finisher at the event and the only diver in the conference to advance past the preliminary round.

Earlier in the day, the junior registered 393.15 points in the preliminaries to advance to the evening's consolation final. Goydan now owns three All-America honors, two on the 1-meter board and one on the 3-meter board. 

Goydan's six points rank Wellesley 42nd overall at the event, with one day of competition left. Today's action marked the culmination of the Blue's 2012-13 swimming and diving season.
