Sticco-Ivins Named NEWMAC Diver of the Week
WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Week for the week ending November 8th.
The 2015 NCAA 3-meter diving national champion, Sticco-Ivins opened the 2015-16 season with victories on both the 1 and 3-meter boards at the New England Invitational, hosted by WPI. Sticco-Ivins scored 285.75 in the 1-meter competition to win the event by 19.75 points over the second place competitor. The sophomore diver then went on to take the 3-meter competition, by a 25.55 point margin of victory, with a score of 278.45.
Sticco-Ivins and the Blue return to the pool on Saturday, November 14, at 1:00 PM for a dual meet at Simmons College.
