Wellesley's Lewis Named NEWMAC Diving Coach of the Year

WELLESLEY, Mass. – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2017-18 Women's Swimming and Diving Coaches of the Year on Wednesday afternoon and Wellesley College Diving Coach Jack Lewis earned his first Women's Diving Coach of the Year honor.

Lewis coached a total of two Wellesley divers at the championship highlighted by Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) who placed first on the 3-Meter Board and second on the 1-Meter Board. Both Sticco-Ivins and first year Noelle Bergere (Madison, Conn.) also earned NEWMAC Diver of the Week honors during the 2017-18 season en route to qualifying for next week's NCAA Diving Regional. Lewis was named the CSCAA National Coach of the Year in 2016-17 and was also a two-time recipient of the NEWMAC Men's Diver of the Year Award (2013-14, 2014-15) when he was an undergrad at Springfield College. He is the first person in conference history to be named both Diver and Coach of the Year.
