Wellesley's May Earns NEWMAC Swimmer of the Week Honors

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Hannah May (Cincinnati, Ohio) has been named the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week ending January 21, 2019. 

May tied for meet-high honors and had a team-high four All-Seven Sisters awards as she helped the Blue clinch the 2019 Seven Sisters Championship on Saturday and Sunday at Smith. The 2019 Seven Sisters title was the 29th in program history and the 22nd consecutive for the Blue. May was first in both the 100 Free (54.56) and the 200 Free (1:55.81) and was the runner-up in the 500 Free with a season-best time (5:17.15). She also helped the Blue to relay victories in the 800 Free Relay in a meet record time of 7:55.90 and the 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:39.64.  

Wellesley will travel to Divison II Merrimack for a dual meet on Saturday, January 26, at 2:30 PM.
