Bio

Jake Lichter enters his second season as Assistant Coach for the Wellesley Swimming and Diving Program.

Lichter has been involved with swimming for 12 years at the club, high school and college level, including spending last season as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Ithaca College, during the 2013-14 season. 

Lichter helped guide the Bomber’s to a 13-1 record and a second place finish in the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association (UNYSCSA). Ithaca qualified 10 athletes for the 2013-14 Division III NCAA Championships before finishing 24th overall as a team in the event.  

In addition to coaching at the collegiate level, Lichter also coached for the Lansing Club Aquatic Team in 2012. In 2013, with the help of Head Coach Kevin Markwardt and Senior Coach James Sica, Lichter started Swim Ithaca as the first Head Age Group coach. 

As a member of the Bombers swim team, Jake was a two-time UNYSCSA/Empire 8 All-Conference first-team member as well as team captain during his senior year.

Lichter graduated from Ithaca College in 2013 with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business.
