Blue Tennis Wraps Up Competition at Wellesley Invitational

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College tennis concluded play at the Wellesley Invitational on Sunday at The Amy Batchelor '88, Trustee, Tennis Courts.

Wellesley seniors Annissa Mu (Saratoga, Calif.) and Melinda Alviar (Indianapolis, Ind.) lost 8-2 against Brandeis' team of Bhakti Parwani (Ahmedabad, India) and Rebecca Suarez (Huntington, N.Y.).

Blue first years Dalia Khera (Houston, Texas) and Michelle Yeo (Singapore) fell 8-5 to Brandeis' Chahana Budhbhatti (Ahmedabad, India) and Sabrina Loui (Honolulu, Hawaii).

Sophomore Emilee Pak (Chicago, Ill.) and first year Kriti Sarav (Chicago, Ill.) dropped an 8-7(7-4) match to Adèle Fernández (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) and Chaniel Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) of Babson.

First years Lily Cade (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Veda Madhusudan (Short Hills, N.J.) fell 8-3 to Babson's Juliette Moschella (Little Silver, N.J.) and Shanaya Naik (Mumbai, India).

Mu lost 6-3, 6-0 to Suarez, Parwani defeated Alviar 6-0, 7-6(1), and Budhbhatti earned a 7-5, 6-4 win over Yeo.

Babson's Elena Keitt (Austin, Texas) defeated Sarav 6-1, 6-2, Kamila Stasiowska (Burlington, Conn.) beat Madhusudan 4-6, 6-0, 11-9, Soffer won 6-2, 7-6(0) over Khera, and Pak fell 6-2, 6-0 to Naik.

Cade defeated Brandeis' Lika Bolkvadze (Tbilisi, Georgia) 2-6, 4-3 (retired). 

Wellesley will compete in the ITA Regionals at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. from September 22-24.
