No. 3 Blue Tennis Set to Host No. 6 Springfield to Open NEWMAC Women's Tennis Championship

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- With the conclusion of the regular season, the NEWMAC has announced the seeds for the 2024 Women's Tennis Championship bracket. The championship tournament will consist of six teams that will compete for the NEWMAC title, with matches beginning on Tuesday, April 30.

Wellesley College tennis (12-5 Overall, 7-2 NEWMAC) earned the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Springfield College (4-12 Overall, 4-5 NEWMAC) in the first round on Tuesday, April 30.

During the regular season, Wellesley secured a 9-0 victory over Springfield. First year Kriti Sarav (Chicago, Ill.) posted a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score at No. 5 singles in that match.

MIT Secures Top Seed in 2024 NEWMAC Women's Tennis Championship


The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) consists of 12 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Salve Regina University, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
