Ng Cruises To All-Region Mile Time at NEICAAA Indoor Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Sharon Ng (Sunnyvale, Calif.) was the lone representative for Wellesley College track & field on day two of the NEICAAA All-New England Indoor Championships on Saturday at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.

Ng didn't disappoint, delivering an all-region performance in the Mile. The senior finished in 4:57.94 to take seventh place in her strongest event.

Ng's seventh place time also added a pair of points to Wellesley's team total, helping the Blue to finish in 14th out of 32 teams in the team standings, despite competing in just five events on the weekend. The Blue totaled 17 points.

Wellesley track & field will be back in action next weekend, Friday-Saturday, March 4-5, at the ECAC Division III Indoor Championships at Ocean Breeze Park in Staten Island, N.Y.
