STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Paced by seven All-ECAC performances, Wellesley College track & field captured second place in the team standings at the 2016 ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Athletic Complex.

After earning three top-eight finishes in Friday evening's 5000m Run, including a first place finish from junior Mary Keenan (Boerne, Texas), the Blue added four more All-ECAC honors during Saturday's competition to finish the weekend with 59 points.

Ithaca College took the team title with 77 points, followed by the Blue in second and Misericordia in third place (47 points). Rowan in fourth place (44 points) and Rochester (35 points) in fifth rounded out the top five.

Keenan followed up her 5000m title with a runner-up performance in the 3000m Run, finishing in 10:01.73 to record the top-time among the three Wellesley runners in the field. Senior Priyanka Fouda (Wellesley, Mass.) added a ninth place finish in 10:30.86, while junior Edie Sharon (Winchester, Mass.) took 14th in 10:45.29.

In the Long Jump, sophomore Abena Asare (Berlin, N.J.) captured her first ECAC Indoor Title thanks to a leap of 5.65m. The 2016 New England Division III Champion, Asare has yet to finish behind a Division III competitor in the long jump all season and currently ranks sixth in all of Division III in the event.

In the Mile, senior Sharon Ng (Sunnyvale, Calif.) made her way around the track in 5:02.77 to take runner-up in the event and garner All-ECAC honors of her own.

Junior Isabella Narvaez (Cali, Colombia) brought home the final top-eight time for the Blue in the 400m Dash, taking third place overall in 57.76. Narvaez also added a time of 26.17 in the 200m Dash, good enough to capture 12th place.

Junior Sonja Cwik (La Cañada, Calif.) was also inaction for Wellesley on Saturday, earning a top-ten time of 3:05.64 in the 1000m Run.
