Wellesley Track & Field Announces 2019-20 Indoor/Outdoor Schedules

Wellesley track & field begins the indoor season on December 7th at the Smith Winter Classic (Frank Poulin).

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College track & field and Head Coach Phil Jennings have announced the team's indoor and outdoor competition schedules for the 2019-20 season.

The Blue will open the indoor season at the Smith Winter Classic on Saturday, December 7, 2019. The team will break for the semester before returning for three meets in January, including the Terrier Invitational (Jan. 24) and the Southern Maine Invitational (Nov. 25). In February, the team will compete in four meets, including the Tufts Cupid Challenge (Feb. 8) and Bowdoin Invitational (Sat. 22), before qualified participants head to the New England Division III Championships on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Middlebury College. The 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships wil take place March 13-14, 2020 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The outdoor season will begin on Saturday, April 4, at the Coast Guard Spring Invitational. Trips to the Silfen Invitational (April 10-11) and Bowdoin Aloha Relays (April 18) will take place before the 2020 New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Mount Holyoke College. The championship season begins with the New England DIII Championships (May 1-2), and continues with the NEICAAA Championships (May 8-9). The 2020 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships is scheduled to be held May 21-23, 2020, at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex in Rochester, N.Y.
