Track & Field Lands Program Record Twenty-One to NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

WESTWOOD, Mass. – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2022 Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team with Wellesley landing a program-record 21 student athletes. A total of 167 student-athletes were honored.

Seniors Maya Bradbury (Freeport, Maine) and Amy Tao (Hong Kong, China) each received the Academic All-Conference honor for the third time. Bradbury is set to graduate with a degree in Political Science and Tao with a degree in Chemistry. Classmate Ari Marks (Eagle Point, Ore.), a Political Science major collected the honor for the second time and senior Lily Herold (Athens, Ohio), an English and Environmental Studies major, made the team for the first time.

A total of 11 juniors earned the All-Academic honor for the second time including: Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.), Alejandra Castillo (Chapel Hill, N.C.), Dallis Kehoe (Norwell, Mass.), Maddie Morocco (Mansfield, Mass.), Ellie Murphy-Weise (San Francisco, Calif.) Bethany Pasko (Wellesley, Mass.), Sally Richardson (Orono, Minn.), Zoe Shaw (Portland, Ore.), Millie Stone (Los Angeles, Calif.), Ariel Traver (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Kate Winkler (Bedford, Mass.).

Selections must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2021 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

The Blue are set for the NEWMAC Championships on Saturday, April 30 at 10:30 AM hosted by Smith. 


The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
