Blue Track & Field's Anderson Places Third in 10000m on Day One of NEICAAA Championship

DEDHAM, Mass. -  Senior Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.) and first year Emily Brydges (Suffield, Conn.) ran in the 10000 meter race for Wellesley College track & field at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Outdoor Championship on Friday at Solomon Outdoor Track.

Anderson ran a 36:43.62, good for third place against competition that included Division I schools. Brydges placed 13th in the race, running a 39:43.14. Anderson's best 10000 meter time this season currently sits at 26th among all Division III performances and the senior will await the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Qualifying List to see if she will be competing in Rochester, N.Y. later this month.

Senior Ellie Murphy-Weise (San Francisco, Calif.) and first year Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) will represent the Blue in the 3000 meter steeplechase tomorrow at 2:40 PM on day two of the NEICAAA Outdoor Championship.
