Blue Track & Field Competes at Tufts Cupid Challenge

MEDFORD, Mass. – Wellesley College track & field took part in the Tufts Cupid Challenge on Saturday at Tufts Univrsity's Gantcher Family Sports and Convocation Center.

Sophomore Emily Brydges (Suffield, Conn.) earned second in the 5000m with a personal-best time of 18:32.70. First year Tristen Kunitake (Deerfield, N.H.) took ninth with a time of 19:44.32.

Wellesley's 4x200m Relay team of sophomore Sara Maeve Klingensmith (Chapel Hill, N.C.), junior Aoife Fitzgerald (Paxton, Mass.), and seniors Taylor Quaye (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Eriko Darcy (Chicago, Ill.) claimed third with a time of 1:49.68.

Sophomore Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) finished fourth in the Indoor Mile with a time of 5:17.57.

Junior Emily Doyle (Mobile, Ala.) had a personal-best distance of 13.06m, good for eighth, in the Weight Throw event.

Classmate Erin Dickinson (Papillion, Neb.) had a distance of 5.04m to take ninth in the Long Jump. Dickinson placed 10th in the Triple Jump with a distance of 9.80m.

Up next, Wellesley competes at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday, February 9.
