Blue Volleyball To Participate in Coaches vs. Cancer Program

WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Wellesley College volleyball team and head coach Dorothy Webb will team up with the American Cancer Society and participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative this weekend. All proceeds from the game will benefit brain cancer research and the game is being held in honor of Coach Webb's close friend, Lauren Farber, a Wellesley resident, pediatrician and mother of two, who recently lost her battle with cancer.

On Saturday, November 1, when Wellesley hosts Springfield College, fans will have an opportunity to take part in fund-raising activities that will benefit the life-saving work of the American Cancer Society and its Coaches vs. Cancer initiative. The match is at 1:00pm at the Keohane Sports Center, located at 106 Central Street in Wellesley, Mass.

Donations will be collected on-site as well as online, by clicking here. We hope you will come out and support your team for this great cause because with everyone's help there will someday be a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

For more information please contact Coach Webb at dwebb1@wellesley.edu or Greg McKeever, Coaches vs. Cancer Coordinator at 508-270-4823.
