Volleyball's Carfagno Named Honorable Mention AVCA All-America

WELLESLEY, Mass. — Wellesley College volleyball senior Sydney Carfagno has earned honorable mention American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America recognition. 

Carfagno was named to the AVCA All-America honorable mention list for the third time in her career. Carfagno was also named honorable mention All-America in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, she was named to the All-America third team.

The Los Angeles, California native led the Blue with 365 kills this season. She averaged 3.61 kills/set this season while also registered a team-leading 343 digs and added 33 service aces, 30 total blocks and 18 assists.

Carfagno finished her collegiate career with 1378 kills and 1120 digs, helping guide the Blue to a 96-32 record, including a a NEWMAC regular season title, three Seven Sisters championships, and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2013. Carfagno also added 157 total blocks to go along with 175 service aces during her time at Wellesley.
