WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2016 Volleyball All-Conference team on Wednesday and Wellesley College sophomore Yasmine Reece has earned NEWMAC All-Conference first team recognition for the second time in her collegiate career.

Reece led the Blue in kills with 348 and blocks with 64, while adding 187 digs and 18 aces to establish herself as one of the best all-around players in the conference. Her 4.05 kills per set was tops in the NEWMAC and her kill total of 348 ranked her third. Reece topped the 20-kill plateau five times on the season, while recording eight double-doubles. Of her 23 matches played, the sophomore middle hitter recorded a double-figure kill total in 18. In addition, Reece was twice named the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week, on September 9 and 19.

Wellesley volleyball finished the 2016 season with a 12-16 overall record and a 5-5 record in NEWMAC regular season play. The Blue advanced to the NEWMAC Tournament, earning the number six seed, but ended the year with a 3-0 setback at NEWMAC runner-up Clark University.
