Blue Volleyball's Xu, Kunze-Hoeg Recognized on CSC Academic All-District Team

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College volleyball junior Rachel Xu (Beijing, China) and sophomore Kaija Kunze-Hoeg (Eagan, Minn.) were each named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday. 

The 2023 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The award is given to athletes who in addition to being impactful on their respective team, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and have achieved second year status at their academic institution.

Xu led the Blue with 42 total blocks for the season, in addition to 88 kills with a .203 hitting percentage. Kunze-Hoeg finished the season with 495 digs and 5.05 digs per set, good for third in the NEWMAC. Kunze-Hoeg was named to AVCA All-Region First Team and was an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention.
