Whinney Earns NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Wellesley College cross country sophomore Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) was named the NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending September 3, 2023.
Whinney won the season-opening Wellesley Invitational on Friday evening with a time of 19:07.8 on the 5k course, helping the Blue finish within a point of No. 23 Brandeis.
Up next for the Blue is the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 12:00 PM.
