Blue Cross Country's Whinney Qualifies for 2023 NCAA Division III Championships
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Wellesley cross country sophomore Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) has been selected as an individual qualifier for the 2023 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
The 2023 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will take place on Saturday, November 18 at the Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa., with Dickinson College serving as the host institution. The men's 8k Race will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the women's 6k Race at 12:00 PM.
Whinney made the All-New England Team for a second straight year this past Saturday when she finished sixth out of 231 runners with a time of 22:15.20 at the NCAA East Regional Championship. This season, Whinney has also made the NEWMAC All-Conference Team, won NEWMAC Runner of the Week on three occasions, and finished first at the Wellesley Invitational and Keene State Invitational.
