WORCESTER, Mass. – The National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) has announced the recipients of the regatta's All-Academic awards. A total of 359 student-athletes were honored this spring, including 23 from the Wellesley College crew team.
This year's NIRC took place on Friday, May 12 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The Wellesley varsity eight captured its first victory in program history at the 2023 NIRC Championship. The second varsity eight raced to a fourth-place finish, while the third varsity eight came in fifth overall. Head Coach Tessa Spillane was also recognized by the NIRC as this year's Coach of the Year.
