Sticco-Ivins Named ECAC Diver of the Week

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College sophomore Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the ECAC Division III New England Diver of the Week for the week ending December 6. 

This is the first ECAC Diver of the Week honor for Sticco-Ivins during the 2015-16 season, she earned the award five times last season. Sticco-Ivins has also earned four consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Week Awards this season, including this week's award.

Sticco-Ivins opened last weekend's MIT Winter Invitational with a Friday night victory on the 1-meter board, winning the six-dive competition with a score of the 296.23. The Wellesley sophomore went on to make it two-for-two on the weekend when she recorded a score of 320.00 to win the 3-meter competition on Saturday. 

Sticco-Ivins will look to help the Blue to victory when Wellesley swimming & diving returns to dual meet competition on Thursday, January 7, at 1:00 PM versus Babson and Coast Guard.
