Sticco-Ivins Earns Second ECAC Diver of the Week Honor
WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College sophomore Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the ECAC Division III New England Diver of the Week for the week ending January 10.
Sticco-Ivins earns her second ECAC Diver of the Week Award of the season after taking home her fifth New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Week honor earlier this week.
Sticco-Ivins set a new-school record on the 3-meter board in Wellesley's Saturday afternoon dual meet victory over Smith, breaking her own record by totaling 332.30 to take first in the event. Sticco-Ivins also won the 1-meter competition with a score of 311.40. Earlier in the week, the sophomore scored 282.55 to take first on the 1-meter board before winning the 3-meter competition with a mark of 297.00 in a Wellesley sweep of Babson and the Coast Guard Academy.
Wellesley swimming & diving will take on MIT and Tufts in a tri-meet this weekend at MIT's Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool.
