Whinney Receives Second NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week Honor
WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Wellesley College cross country sophomore Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) was named the NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending September 17, 2023.
Whinney placed 14th with a personal best 5k time of 18:26.83 against Division I competition at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend. The Blue finished 10th overall, and second among division III teams.
This is Whinney's second career Runner of the Week honor, having previously won this season for the week of September 3.
Wellesley returns to action at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 AM.
