Wellesley Swimming & Diving Selected as CSCAA Scholar All-America Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected the Wellesley College swimming and diving team for Scholar All-American honors. Wellesley was one of 461 schools to receive the award for the Spring semester.

CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart mentioned the efforts of Coach Dix noting that "No team was unaffected by this Spring's pandemic but Athletic Director Ellis and Provost Shennan can and should be proud of their team and the work of Bonnie."

Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring grade point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes. The Blue also earned the honor this fall while reaching No. 25 in the CSCAA Division III national rankings. The team posted an undefeated dual meet record before going on to place fifth at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships. Wellesley's prowess in the classroom was bolstered by NEWMAC Academic All-Conference efforts from seniors Sarah Gladstone (Brookline, Mass.), Maggie Haley (Shady Side, Md.) and Danielle Peterson (Livingston, N.J.), junior Hannah May (Cincinnati, Ohio), and sophomores Alexandra Bullen-Smith (Lawrenceville, N.J.), Emery Dutton (Wayland, Mass.), and Emma Roberts (Boxford, Mass.).

Individual Scholar All-America selections will be announced next week.

Wellesley Athletics strives for excellence at the conference, regional, and national levels, while providing opportunities for students to achieve their potential and learn the values of discipline, leadership, critical thinking, and responsibility to oneself and others.
