Wellesley Athletics gave me the opportunity and resources to grow into the woman I am today. The KSC and softball field were vital spaces for me on campus. There, I found motivation, routine, and purpose, which helped me get through the hardest times these past four years. Through difficult morning practices, gamedays that lasted well into the evening, injuries, and personal challenges, I have matured into someone I am proud to be. I want to thank my teammates, past and present, for each teaching me unique and invaluable life-lessons and for showing me what friendship without limitations looks like.

To my family—my mom, Tammy; my dad, John; my sister, Hope; and my brother, Logan—thank you for always being there for me and supporting my every endeavor. Your patience and encouragement through every freezing game, rainout, and twelve-inning tie-breaker has meant the world to me. To my mom in particular, who never missed a game and drove me to every practice and tournament on my way to college softball, thank you. I’d also like to thank the Wellesley coaching staff and Coach O’Meara for always taking the extra time to help me and everyone else on the team to be better. Coach truly goes above and beyond to be there for her team, teaching us not only softball skills, but tools that will help us lead a successful life. Even through the stolen moments of what should have been my senior season, I hold with me some of her best and most poignant advice: control the controllables and be grateful for the time and opportunities we have.
