Four Named to NEWMAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team

On Tuesday, the NEWMAC announced the 2023 Fall All-Sportsmanship Team. Senior Kate Salembier (Sierra Madre, Calif.), juniors Maya Benway (Harvard, Mass.) and Carrie Huang (Seattle, Wash.) and sophomore Emily Brydges (Suffield, Conn.) represented the Blue on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Wellesley Soccer Sees Six Receive CSC Academic All-District Honors

Wellesley College soccer seniors Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.), Remi Fernandez (Valencia, Spain), Alyssa Ing (Irvine, Calif.), Paige Sangston (Greenwich, Conn.), and Cindy Zeng (Mill Creek, Wash.), and junior Carrie Huang (Seattle, Wash.) were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
Wellesley College Soccer Sees 12 Receive NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Honors

The NEWMAC revealed the 2023 Women's Soccer Academic All-Conference Team on Friday. 12 members of Wellesley College soccer were recognized. Seniors Remi Fernandez (Valencia, Spain), Alyssa Ing (Irvine, Calif.), Paige Sangston (Greenwich, Conn.), and Cindy Zeng (Mill Creek, Wash.) all earned their third trip to the Academic All-Conference Team, while classmate Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.) received the honor for a second time. Also being named to the Academic All-Conference Team for a second time was junior Carrie Huang (Seattle, Wash.). Classmate Juliana Mytko (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) made the team for the first time. In their first year of eligibility, sophomores Ella Hong (Buffalo Grove, Ill.), Reika Ishibe (Guilford, Conn.), Riley McNair (Cupertino, Calif.), Kyra Narunatvanich (Naperville, Ill.), and Elina Saab-Sundén (Stockholm, Sweden) were each honored.
Wellesley Soccer Falls to Salve Regina, 3-1

Wellesley College soccer dropped a 3-1 NEWMAC decision to Salve Regina in its regular season finale on Saturday at Reynolds Field. Sophomores Marissa Perach (Washington Depot, Conn.), Jessica Galante (Dover, N.H.) and Grace Hudson (Nahant, Mass.) each scored their first goals of the season to lift Salve Regina (5-7-5 overall, 3-7-1 NEWMAC) to victory in their season finale.
Wellesley Soccer Downed by MIT, 2-0

Graduate student Kaitlin Zareno (Los Angeles, Calif.) and senior Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) each had a goal for No. 14 MIT to give the Engineers (15-3-1 Overall, 9-1 NEWMAC) a 2-0 NEWMAC victory over Wellesley College soccer (3-6-5 Overall, 2-4-4 NEWMAC) on Wednesday at Wellesley Fields Complex.
Springfield Gets Past Blue Soccer on Senior Day, 2-0

Sophomore Kayla McGrath (North Adams, Mass.) scored a pair of goals to give Springfield a 2-0 NEWMAC win over Wellesley College soccer on Saturday at Wellesley Fields Complex. Prior to the game Wellesley acknowledged ten seniors for their contributions to the Blue. The seniors honored were Lauren Park (Richmond, Va.), Helen Bauer (Pebble Beach, Calif.), Remi Fernandez (Valencia, Spain), Diva KC (Greensboro, N.C.), Alyssa Ing (Irvine, Calif.), Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.), Willa McGough (Plainfield, N.H.), Cindy Zeng (Mill Creek, Wash.), Paige Sangston (Greenwich, Conn.), and Marina Andreadis (San Francisco, Calif.).
Blue Soccer Ties with Emerson, 0-0

Wellesley College soccer and Emerson engaged in a defensive 0-0 NEWMAC contest on Wednesday at Rotch Field. Despite 15 shots on goal between the two teams, neither was able to find the back of the goal, with both team's keepers earning clean sheets for their respective teams.

Wellesley College soccer fell 1-0 in a non-conference game against Trinity (Conn.) on Sunday. The big moment for the Bantams (2-1-2 Overall) came at the 73:50 mark when senior Dot Tilden (Hanover, Mass.) scored off of a pass from first year Aimee Poole (Ashland, Ore.).
Blue Soccer Drops 1-0 Game to WPI

Wellesley College soccer lost its NEWMAC opener 1-0 to WPI on Saturday at H.Carr Field. Sophomore Bailey Allmon (Woodbine, Md.) scored for the Engineers (3-3 Overall, 1-0 NEWMAC) at the 41:29 mark of the first half. A cross from first year Maeve Steckley (Rochester, N.Y.) led to a scramble, allowing Allmon to tap the ball into the lower right side of the net.
