Wellesley Cross Country Finishes 13th at Pre-National Meet

Wellesley College cross country nabbed a 13th place finish in a crowded field of 36 teams at the 6k NCAA Division III Pre-National Meet in Lansing, Mich. on the Forest Akers East Golf Course. Senior Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.) led the Blue with a 24th place finish and a time of 22:41.3.

Blue Cross Country Takes Eighth at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

Wellesley College cross country raced to an eighth place finish on Saturday at the 5K UMass Dartmouth Invitational held at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course. Senior Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.) was the top overall finisher for the Blue, taking fourth with a personal record time of 18:08.32.

Mount Holyoke College senior Lauren Selkin (Greenwich, Conn.) finished with a time of 18:24.7 to capture first place in the women’s 5K at the 2022 Wellesley Invitational at Nehoiden Golf Club. Wellesley senior Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.) was the runner-up in 18:45.6.

Cross Country to Host Season Opening Wellesley Invitational Friday

Wellesley College cross country will host the team's annual season opening Wellesley Invitational on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Nehoiden Golf Club. The men's 5K race will begin at 6:15 PM and will be immediately followed by the women's 5K start at approximately 6:45 PM.

Wellesley College track and field 2022 graduate Ari Marks (Eagle Point, Ore.) has been named one of the recipients of the 2021-22 NEWMAC (New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference) Student-Athlete of the Year Award. Marks is one of four recipients of the inaugural NEWMAC Student-Athlete of the Year Award, which focuses on the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership. Oliver Thomas from WPI and Karenna Groff and David He from MIT also earned the honor.

Egan will compete in her second Olympics, representing the United States in the sport of biathlon.

Wellesley Cross Country Team Headed to NCAA Championships in Louisville

The Wellesley cross country team will compete in the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky. Championship selections were announced by the NCAA Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee on Sunday. The women's race will take place on Saturday, Nov. 20 at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky starting at 12:00 PM ET.
