Cai, Cheng Earn Place on NEWMAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team

WESTWOOD, Mass. – The NEWMAC announced the 2023-24 Winter All-Sportsmanship Team on Friday. Wellesley College swimming & diving junior Cecilia Cai (Palo Alto, Calif.) and basketball first year Amanda Cheng (Shanghai, China) earned All-Sportsmanship honors for the Blue.

Wellesley Recipients:

Basketball: Amanda Cheng '27 (Shanghai, China)
Swimming & Diving: Cecilia Cai '25 (Palo Alto, Calif.)

The All-Sportsmanship award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each institution in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.

NEWMAC Announces Winter Sportsmanship Honorees

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) consists of 12 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Salve Regina University, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
