WELLESLEY, Mass. -- It's NCAA Division III Week! This week is a celebration of our student-athletes and the impact they have on the entire Wellesley community! This year, NCAA Division III Week begins Monday, April 1 and continues through Sunday, April 7. Wellesley Athletics will be celebrating with an Earn The W Day doubleheader on April 3. The Blue will also host Trans Visibility games on March 30 and April 3.

NCAA Division III Week is an opportunity for all individuals associated with a Division III institution or conference to recognize the powerful impact of athletics and student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community.

Instagram Takeovers and Event Schedule

Follow along on our Instagram (@wellesleyathletics) as our student-athletes give you a firsthand view of life on campus and how they prepare for class, practice, gameday and other events throughout the week. 

  • Wednesday, April 3: Blue softball first year Sarah Wicker (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) chronicles the day leading up to Wellesley's Earn The W Day doubleheader at 3 & 5 PM.
  • Saturday, April 6: Wellelsey lacrosse first year Katie McCabe (Jupiter, Fla.) shows us what a game day looks like behind the scenes as the Blue host Emerson at 1:00 PM.
  • Sunday, April 7: Follow Blue tennis first year Veda Madhusudan (Short Hills, N.J.) through a normal match day as the team travels to Brandeis for a 1:00 PM match.

Bone Marrow Registration Drive
  • On Wednesday, April 10, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting a bone marrow registration drive as part of its community service commitment. The event is set to take place at Davis Plaza from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM. Participants will be doing a cheek swab during the drive.

Alum Networking Event | Sunday, April 7, 2024

Wellesley College Athletics will conclude NCAA Division III Week 2024 with the Annual LeadBLUE Student-Athlete Alum Networking Event, sponsored by Friends of Wellesley Athletics, on Sunday, April 7 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM. The event will take place in the Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse. This year's LeadBLUE Alum Networking Event will include a brief panel discussion with alums and an informal networking session over mocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Wellesley Athletics strives for excellence at the conference, regional, and national levels, while providing opportunities for students to achieve their potential and learn the values of discipline, leadership, critical thinking, and responsibility to oneself and others.
