Wellesley Athletics Welcome Ann Dwyer as Associate Director for Facilities and Operations (July 5, 2022)

Ann Dwyer joined Wellesley Athletics as Associate Director for Facilities and Operations in July 2022.

Dwyer came to Wellesley after spending  nine years at Brown University in Providence, R.I., where she served her last five years as Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities & Operations. At Brown, Dwyer managed all aspects of planning and logistics of all home athletics events for 34 varsity sports. She managed the facilities and operations budget while coordinating schedules of 14 athletic facilities for practice, games, departmental needs, camps, clinics, campus events and rentals. 

Dwyer joined Brown in September of 2013 as the Travel & Athletic Operations Coordinator, where she was responsible for the coordination of all aspects of team travel and served as a game operations manager. She was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities & Operations in August of 2017.

Prior to arriving at Brown, Dwyer spent two years as the Coordinator of Athletic Facilities, Student Workers and Events at Division II Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt. At Saint Michael’s, Dwyer worked with 21 teams and coaches, scheduling practices, scrimmages, clinics, camps and fundraising events while overseeing daily operation and maintenance of Saint Michael's athletic facilities. She also trained and supervised a staff of nearly 90 student workers.

Dwyer got her start in collegiate athletics administration as Assistant to the Athletic Director at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pa. Dwyer also served as an Assistant Field Hockey and Women’s Lacrosse coach for the Falcons.

A 2007 graduate of Johnson & Wales University (JWU), Dwyer earned a Bachelor's degree in Sports Entertainment Event Management and was a four-year member of the Wildcats women's basketball team. Dwyer later earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Hospitality Event Leadership from JWU in 2008. She is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), the Collegiate Event and Facilities Management Association (CEFMA) and Women Leaders in College Sports.
